50th European Muscle Conference Florence 2023

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Dear Supporters of the European Muscle Conference,

We hope you are doing well and seeing vast improvements in your area after what we are sure has been a challenging year for all.

As many of you may already know we are organizing the 50th European Muscle Conference in Florence in September 2023 (Saturday 2nd – Wednesday 6th ). The conference will be organized under the patronage of the University of Florence and the venue will be in the Novoli Campus, few tramvia stops from the main railway station (Santa Maria Novella Station) or the airport Amerigo Vespucci (Peretola airport).

We would like to take this opportunity to formally invite everyone involved in the muscle research and ESMR community to join us in Florence for what promises to be a highly memorable event and scientific exchange. The 2023 Florence European Muscle conference will be also the occasion to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the meeting with a special lecture given by Ger Stienen and Carlo Reggiani and a related convivial event. The organizing team is working to offer an exciting program with sessions covering a broad variety of basic research topics as Muscle mechanics and energetics, Muscle plasticity and exercise, Muscle structure, Molecular Motors, Cytoskeleton, Excitation-contraction coupling, as well as translational research topics as cardiomyopathy, neuromuscular diseases, drug development and in vitro modelling of muscle disease.
